Equipment Rental Take advantage of Outcross equipment rental service. This will enable you to collect data without having to purchase expensive equipment. Outcross has recently started the Reader Rental initiative that allows producers to rent NLIS reading equipment. Reader Rental is easy, just pick up a reader from your local distributor, scan the cattle and drop the reader back. When you drop the reader off you will be asked to fill out details of the PIC numbers and NVD used when cattle are transferred. Outcross will do the rest, making NLIS compliance as simple as waving a wand. You do not need to have any computer knowledge or technical knowhow. It also saves you having to keep equipment charged up when you don’t use it often.
